DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is the common language of CNC. It is what laser cutters, plasma tables, routers and most CAM packages read, so being able to open one quickly is useful whether you are checking a file a customer sent, confirming a download, or picking a part out of an old job. Because the geometry is read as true curves, an arc stays an arc rather than a run of tiny straight steps.

Got a DWG file?
DWG is a different, closed format, so it will not open here directly. Save or export it as a DXF from your CAD software first (most offer File then Save As, or Export, to DXF), then open that DXF here. Any program that writes DWG can also write DXF, and converting this way keeps the drawing on your own device.

Can I open a DXF without AutoCAD?
Yes. This viewer opens a DXF online with no CAD licence and nothing to install. It is ideal for a quick look when you only need to see what is in the file.
Can I open a DWG file?
Not directly, as DWG is a different format. Open the drawing in your CAD software and save or export it as a DXF first (usually File then Save As, or Export), then open that DXF here. Any program that writes DWG can also write DXF.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
