Preferences

A handful of settings control how NestMaxx looks and the units it works in. They live under Dock > Settings > General.

Units

Units sets what you measure in throughout the app: Millimetres or Inches. Everything follows your choice, including the sheet size, part dimensions and spacing. Set this to match how you think about your material before you start entering sizes.

Note that imported files carry their own units, chosen per file at import time. See Importing CAD.

Theme

Theme sets the appearance: System, Light or Dark. System follows whatever your device is set to, switching automatically with it. Light and Dark pin the app to that look.

Language

Language sets the language of the studio. Pick from the list; you can change it at any time here. (This documentation is currently available in English only.)

Resetting the app

Reset app erases everything saved on this device and starts you over with a clean slate: your parts, layout, settings and cached data. It cannot be undone, so NestMaxx asks you to confirm. Because nothing was ever uploaded, resetting only affects this device and nothing elsewhere. See Your Data and Privacy.

Import settings

The File imports tab holds settings for bringing in DXF and SVG files, such as cleaning up stray geometry, auto-repairing broken contours, and how finely curves are converted. These are covered in Importing CAD.
