Your Data and Privacy

NestMaxx is built so that your work stays with you. It does all of its nesting on your own device, and it does not send your parts, sheets or layouts anywhere.

Nothing is uploaded

When you add parts, import a drawing or run a nest, all of that happens on your device. There is no server doing the work and no copy of your design kept anywhere else. You do not need an account, and there is no sign-up.

Because the work is local, you stay in control of it. Nothing is shared until you choose to share it yourself.

Your work is saved on your device

NestMaxx remembers your current job so it is waiting for you the next time you open it. This saved state lives on your own device, tied to the address you use NestMaxx from. It is not synced to any account or other machine.

A few things follow from this:

• Clearing site data removes your work. If you clear stored data for the site, or use a private session that discards data on exit, your saved job goes with it.
• It does not move between devices on its own. Opening NestMaxx on another device gives you a fresh start, not your saved job. To carry a layout elsewhere, export it as a file (see below).
• Keep a copy of anything important. Export finished layouts as files (see Exporting DXF and SVG) so you have your own backup outside the app, and so you can open the geometry in other software.

Sharing is always your choice

Sharing only happens when you ask for it. When you do, NestMaxx creates a watermarked snapshot image of your layout to post or send. That is a picture of the nest, not your editable job and not a toolpath. Until you choose to share, nothing leaves your device. See Sharing Your Nest.
