Sharing Your Nest

NestMaxx can turn your finished nest into a shareable image, so you can show off a tight layout or send someone a picture of what you made. Sharing is always something you choose to do; nothing is posted on its own.

What sharing produces

Open Dock > Share Share iconShare icon and NestMaxx renders a snapshot image of your nested layout, carrying a small NestMaxx watermark. This image is a picture of the nest. It is not your editable job, and it is not a toolpath for cutting. To hand over the actual geometry, export a file instead. See Exporting DXF and SVG.

Ways to share

From the Share dialog you can:

  • Post to social media - buttons for X, Facebook, Reddit, Telegram, WhatsApp and Instagram. Shared links preview with a card image.
  • Download image - save the snapshot as a file to attach wherever you like.
  • Copy image - copy it to paste straight into a post or message.
  • Share… - on devices that support it, hand the image to the system share sheet to send through any app.

Moving your actual work

Because sharing produces an image, it is not the way to move an editable layout to another device or person. For that, export the layout as a DXF or SVG file, which carries the real geometry. See Exporting DXF and SVG and Your Data and Privacy.
